Terms & Conditions

1. Payment Terms

• Payment is due upon receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Accepted: Cash, Debit, Credit Card, E-Transfer.
• Commercial clients approved for invoicing must pay within agreed terms.
• Overdue accounts are subject to interest at a rate of 2% per month (24% per annum).
• The customer agrees to pay all costs associated with collection of overdue amounts, including legal, administrative, and third-party collection fees.
• Customer agrees that non-payment may result in suspension of service or legal action.

2. Deposits

• Deposits may be required for certain projects, special-order materials, or scheduled work, typically 15%–40% of the estimated cost.
• Deposits secure scheduling, material procurement, and technician time, and are applied directly toward labor, materials, scheduling, and administrative costs incurred to date.
• Deposits are non-refundable once materials are ordered or work is scheduled, except as prohibited by law.

Ownership of Materials

• All materials and installed products remain the property of Concepts Plumbing until payment is made in full.
• In the event of non-payment, Concepts Plumbing reserves the right to remove unpaid materials and/or place a lien on the property in accordance with Ontario law.

3. Estimates

• Estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection.
• Hidden, unknown, or pre-existing issues may exist (e.g., corrosion, collapsed lines, structural pipe damage, prior faulty installations).
• Concepts Plumbing may revise estimates if additional work is required. Customer approval will be obtained before work continues.
• Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
• Customer acknowledges that plumbing repairs may uncover hidden issues requiring additional work or materials.

4. Scope of Work & Change Orders

• Installation, repair, maintenance, inspection, and diagnostics
• Emergency plumbing, drain cleaning, and sewer services

• The work performed will be limited to the scope defined in the signed estimate/contract.
• Any changes, additions, or deviations from the agreed scope of work will result in a written change order, approved before the additional work begins, and may affect cost and schedule.

5. Warranty

• 1-year workmanship warranty on labor unless otherwise stated in writing.
• Manufacturer warranties apply to installed parts, fixtures, and equipment.
• Warranty is void if the customer or any third party modifies, damages, or improperly maintains the work performed.

• Damage from foreign objects, grease, wipes, or improper use
• Frozen or burst pipes
• Pre-existing plumbing defects
• Customer-supplied materials
• Normal wear and tear

6. Customer Responsibilities & Site Access

• Provide safe and clear access to work areas
• Secure pets and remove fragile/valuable items
• Use plumbing systems in accordance with manufacturer instructions

7. Hidden & Pre-Existing Conditions

• Plumbing systems may contain hidden defects or pre-existing issues.
• Concepts Plumbing is not responsible for damages arising from these conditions, whether discovered during or after service.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Concepts Plumbing is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including but not limited to: water damage, mold or mildew, structural damage, business interruption, loss of income or property.
• Maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid for the service performed.
• Customer expressly waives claims beyond this limit.

9. Cancellations & Termination

• Minimum 24-hour notice required for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Late cancellations or no-shows may incur fees.
• Concepts Plumbing reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if payments are not made as agreed, site conditions are unsafe, or the customer breaches these Terms.
• The customer may terminate services only in accordance with the cancellation provisions outlined in the estimate/contract and subject to payment for all work completed to date.

10. Delays & Force Majeure

• Severe weather or natural disasters
• Supply chain or labor shortages
• Power outages or equipment failure
• Government restrictions or emergencies

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

• In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation.
• If unresolved, the parties agree to attempt mediation.
• If still unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in Ontario, in accordance with Ontario law.
• These Terms & Conditions, and any disputes arising from them, are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario.

12. Service Call / Trip Fees

• Service calls or diagnostic visits may incur fees even if no work is completed.
• Fees cover labor, travel, and evaluation.

13. Emergency & After-Hours Services

• Services requested outside normal business hours are subject to additional charges (evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Concepts Plumbing may refuse work deemed unsafe or impractical.

14. Drain & Sewer Disclaimer

• Drain cleaning restores flow at the time of service only.
• Concepts Plumbing does not guarantee against future blockages, tree roots, sewer backups, or structural pipe failures.

15. Customer-Supplied Fixtures & Materials

• Concepts Plumbing is not liable for defects, leaks, or failures from customer supplied materials or fixtures.
• Warranty does not apply to customer-provided products.

16. Property Access & Restoration

• Repairs may require opening walls, ceilings, floors, or landscaping.
• Concepts Plumbing will minimize damage, but restoration (drywall, painting, flooring, landscaping, or structural repair) is not included unless specifically agreed in writing.
• Customer releases Concepts Plumbing from liability for property damage caused by necessary access.

17. Mold & Water Damage Disclaimer

• Concepts Plumbing does not guarantee prevention, detection, or remediation of mold.
• Not responsible for water damage caused by existing system failures, hidden leaks, or pre-existing conditions.

18. Pipe & Sewer Disclaimer

• Old, deteriorated, or damaged pipes may fail during service.
• Concepts Plumbing is not responsible for failures due to aging or weakened pipes.
• Sewer backups caused by municipal systems, tree roots, or pipe collapse cannot be prevented or guaranteed.

19. Privacy & Data Protection

• Customer information (name, phone, email, service address) is collected solely for service purposes.
• Information is not sold or shared except as required by law.
• Customers may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data.

20. Website & Online Use

• Use of the Concepts Plumbing website constitutes acceptance of website terms.
• Prices shown on this website, including in our cost calculator, are market-range guides only and are not quotes. Your final price is confirmed in your free written estimate.
• Unauthorized copying or misuse of website content is prohibited.
• Concepts Plumbing does not guarantee website information is current or error-free.

21. Severability, Entire Agreement & Acceptance

• If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
• These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Concepts Plumbing.
• By signing, approving estimates, allowing work to proceed, or making payment of any Concepts Plumbing invoice, the customer acknowledges and accepts these Terms & Conditions in full.
