Protection Plan Terms

The membership. The Concepts Protection Plan is a maintenance and discount membership from Concepts Plumbing (operating under 1001034033 ONTARIO INC.) for one home address. It costs $19.99 per month plus HST, or $199 per year plus HST prepaid, billed through Square. Membership renews automatically until you cancel.

The annual visit. Once per membership year, at a time that suits you, we come out for one visit that includes: a whole-home plumbing inspection; a water heater flush and anode rod check for tank heaters, or a descale for tankless units; and an operational test of your sump pump and backwater valve. We remind you when the visit is due. A visit that is not booked within its membership year does not carry over to the next year.

What is not included. Repairs, parts, and replacement equipment are not included in the membership price. If the annual visit finds a worn anode rod, a failing pump, a valve that needs work, or anything else, we quote the repair first, with your member discount applied, and nothing is done without your approval.

Member discount. Members get 10% off labour on repair work while the membership is active. Parts and materials are billed at regular pricing, and your price is always confirmed in your free estimate before work starts.

No service-call fee. Members pay no diagnostic or trip fee for repair visits while the membership is active, at any hour. After-hours labour rates still apply to the repair work itself.

Priority booking. Members are scheduled ahead of non-member service calls. True emergencies are always answered 24/7, member or not.

Billing and cancelling. Cancel anytime with a call or a text. There is no cancellation fee. A monthly membership ends at the end of the paid month; a prepaid year cancelled early is refunded for the unused full months.

Price lock. The price you join at is your price for as long as your membership stays active. If the plan price rises for new members, yours stays the same.

Pausing (snowbirds). You may pause your membership for up to 4 months in any 12-month period, for example while wintering away. Billing pauses during the pause, and any annual visit that would fall in the pause is rescheduled for when you are back. Tell us before the pause starts.

Refer a member. If a new member names you as their referrer when they join, both memberships receive one month free, applied as a billing credit.

Second home. A second home — a cottage, a rental, or a family member's home — may be added to your membership at half price ($9.99 a month or $99.50 a year, plus HST). Each home receives its own annual visit and full member benefits.

Not insurance, not a warranty. The plan is a maintenance and discount membership. It is not an insurance product and does not pay for repairs. Our one-year workmanship warranty on completed work applies separately, as stated on your invoice.

Changes. If these terms change, we will tell you before your next billing date, and you can cancel free of charge. Your membership price does not change while your membership stays active — see Price Lock.
