Sewer Backup — Clearing, Answers & Repair
A sewer backup is the worst plumbing problem a house can hand you — and the one where guessing costs the most. Our approach is simple: clear it, camera it, show you exactly what’s wrong, and price the fix in writing before any digging happens.
Warning Signs Your Sewer Line Is in Trouble
- More than one drain backing up at the same time
- Gurgling toilets when the washer drains or a tub empties
- Water coming up in the basement floor drain
- A sewer smell that won’t leave
- Sewage in the basement — the final warning, not the first
Why Homeowners Call Us
- One-year workmanship warranty on repair work
- Insured · WSIB compliant
- Locally owned since 2023
- You see the problem on camera before you approve a dollar of repair
How We Handle It
Clear the line
We open the main line so your house drains again — that’s the urgent part, day or night.
Camera the line
Our Drain Camera Inspection is $339 including HST: a camera goes through the sewer line and you see what it sees. Roots, a collapsed section, a sag holding waste, a bad joint — the cause is on screen, not in a sales pitch.
Price the repair in writing
If the line needs more than clearing, you get the full price in writing first. And if we do the repair within 90 days, the $339 inspection is credited toward it.
A Word on Backwater Valves
Many Barrie and Orillia homes still don’t have a working backwater valve — the flap that keeps city sewer water from reversing into your basement during a heavy storm surge. If your home doesn’t have one, or yours has never been checked, it’s one of the cheapest pieces of flood protection there is. Ask us while we’re there and we’ll check it as part of the visit conversation.

Learn more →Questions We Hear
Is a sewer backup an emergency?
If sewage is in the house, yes — stop using water entirely (every flush adds to it) and call (705) 715-1513. We’re 24/7.
Will clearing fix it for good?
Clearing fixes the blockage. Whether it stays fixed depends on the cause — which is exactly what the camera tells us. Roots grow back; a collapsed pipe doesn’t heal. We’ll show you which one you’re dealing with.
What does the repair cost?
It depends entirely on what’s wrong and where — which is why we camera first and price it in writing. No numbers are invented before anyone has seen your pipe.
